Hi ,im wondering if somebody could point me in the right direction here ,i need to get the wood spokes redone just as a safety measure as the look ok ,any advice would be most welcome ,thanks ,regards,Monte.b

Hi Monte B, If your wooden spokes are in good condition and not loose in the wheel there is no need to replace them, you can soak the complete wheel in a solution of Linseed oil thinned out with mineral turps, this will help to condition and swell the timber. Leave in the solution for a week then leave out to dry, when dry the spokes can be painted with an oil based paint.
If you really want to replace the spokes you can purchase the spokes from the USA but it is a big job, or you can contact Keith Wilson in Allora Queensland (07) 4666 3209 who repairs wooden wheels.

Thank you very much Gary, the wheels seem to be in reasonable condition and the spokes are tight so ill take up on your idea and see how it goes,regards,Monte.b
